Andy McGee, Chief of Police
Chief McGee started his Law Enforcement Career in August of 1991 with the Maryland State Police Cadet Program. In 1993, Chief McGee was hired by the Pocomoke City Police Department and graduated from the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy in 1993. In 1997, Chief McGee accepted a position as Deputy Sheriff with the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office and worked there until 1998 when he accepted a position with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office. During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, Chief McGee was a K-9 Handler, S.W.A.T. team member and Commander , Road Patrol Supervisor as a Corporal and Sgt and Division Commander. In 2010, Chief McGee was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was in charge of the Road Patrol, Training Division, School Division and liaison with the Animal Control Division. Lt. McGee has received extensive training in Administrative Duties, SWAT Command School, Incident Command School, and is a graduate of the F.B.I. Supervisory, Command and Executive School in 2016 and was awarded the Trilogy Award. Chief McGee is a lifelong resident of Worcester County and resides in Pocomoke City.
