Welcome to the Town of Snow Hill, a community rich in diversity, history, and opportunity. As Mayor, it is my honor to serve our community. Snow Hill is an idyllic home and destination in so many ways. Between canoeing and birding on the Pocomoke River, a growing downtown arts and culture scene, and history lessons found in the Purnell Museum, Snow Hill has something to offer everyone. For our residents, our family-oriented community and our exceptional Blue-Ribbon schools contribute to our high quality of life.
What Does the Mayor Do?
The mayor is the executive official and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Town of Snow Hill. Pursuant to Snow Hill Charter, the mayor’s responsibilities include:

What Does the Mayor Do?
The mayor is the executive official and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Town of Snow Hill. Pursuant to Snow Hill Charter, the mayor’s responsibilities include:
- Enforce the ordinances of the Town;
- Appoint and remove employees, heads of offices, departments, and agencies;
- Oversee the municipal affairs and make recommendations for the public good and welfare of the Town;
- Approve or veto ordinances passed by the Council;
- Supervise financial administration of the town government, including preparing the annual budget to be submitted to the Council for approval;
- Serve as the President of the Town Council; and
- Perform other duties as may be prescribed in the Charter or as may be required by the Council, not inconsistent with the Charter.
