Description: Charter §68- 5 members; and Code Chapter 31 “each to serve for five (5) years or until his successor takes office, except that the terms of members first appointed are staggered such that the first appointed member serves for one (1) year, the second appointed member serves for two (2) years and the third appointed member serves for five (5) years.”
This commission is responsible for the Town’s long-range comprehensive plan, and is the sponsor of the Town’s zoning code. It views changes to and interprets the zoning code, and reviews and approves development plans as required by charter. Makes recommendations to Mayor and Council regarding planning and development issues.
Meeting Times: The Planning Commission meets on the first Monday of every month at 7:00PM in the Town Hall Annex building located at 309 N Washington Street. Additional workshop meetings are scheduled as needed.
