Historic District- Code §200-14(C)- at least 5 member- “Commission members shall be appointed for terms of three years, except that the terms of the initial appointments shall be staggered so that three members shall serve terms of three years and two members shall serve terms of two years, so that not more than three appointments shall expire in a given year. Commission members may be reappointed.”
This commission shall review any application to construct, alter, reconstruct, move, or demolish a landmark, site, or structure within the Historic District. The Commission also has the authority to: 1) advise applicants as to available tax incentives; 2) prescribe rules and regulations regarding the transaction of its business; 3) adopt rehabilitation and new construction design guidelines and criteria; 4) acquire historic preservation and other easements; 5) recommend modifications of boundaries for landmarks, sites, and structures; and 6) designate the Maryland Historical Trust to recommend preservation of sites, structures, or districts of historical significance within the Town of Snow Hill.
